On a dark winter’s evening, a lone teddy bear lies beneath the swings in a large park as the frost sets in. His stuffing is hanging loose, his cardigan’s a mess and his owner, Captain Keith, is nowhere to be seen and hasn't even realised he's missing. Captain Keith and Ted have always had lots of fun - they've played together, fought dogs together and somersaulted in the air. A passerby offers to help, but Teddy insists on waiting for Captain Keith. Teddy says he's fine, he knows that Captain Keith will return for him. But does Captain Keith even know he has lost his teddy? Does he even care? You'll just have to read the book for yourself to find out! :)
While Tim was busy doing school work, the younger two carted a basket around the house and gathered up most of the soft toys (plus "bubby") to be found (which made quite a crowd I must say). Then they got organised from smallest to biggest. We had to work on the difference between bigger and longer.
...and then we had fun doing a collage of tough 'ol teddy complete with loose stuffing (Sarah made the most of smothering him in glue).
