Last week before school we stopped and prayed for those who had lost friends & family in the Victorian bushfires. Later that week, Tim asked me if he could set up a shop. I quizzed him about what he had in mind- he wanted to sell things such as popcorn, flour and other staples (he was looking through my pantry) to raise money for the bushfire appeal. So together- we came to an agreement that we'd make something to sell, i.e cooked popcorn.
It got put off over the busy weekend, but Tim didn't forget. He saw a T.V advertisement about donating and said "we're going to do that". Well, today we'd finished school work and didn't need to go out, so we put the plan into action. 24 bags of popcorn and a couple hours of sitting in the driveway, amounted to... (a practical maths/money problem, to solve) a donation, but more importantly a lesson to remember about giving in the fashion of a child!
