For a twist on the usual hide & seek, we took turns hiding some plastic animals in the backyard this afternoon. The game lasts a whole lot longer trying to find those little camouflaged lizards amongst the grass or snakes up trees. Sarah said with glee "there's one" when she spotted a dead beetle on the ground :)
Another thing we've been up to is setting up our tent in the back yard (!) and having a sleepover. It's the easiest way to go camping- no packing, and the kids had almost as much fun! Also a very snuggly place to read a big stash of library books while it rains...
Speaking of holiday activities- my mother-in-law sent me this article from the Courier Mail for 50 holiday boredom busters, so I'll share that.
