We've been able to catch up again with my parents while they're staying with us for a few days. The kids made the most of chatting with them, reading books and generally hanging out together. It was a warm afternoon so we sat by the water and dipped our toes...
The boys have learned all sorts of things from Nanny & Grampy- including the idea of taking loans! They couldn't afford the expensive items in Tim's play "shop" - such as $20 for toothpaste, so Nanny and Grampy were paying the boys small amounts as a loan... Hmm, wonder whether they will try that with me at the toy shop.Tim also learned that all of Grampy's teeth come out every night ("just like stars")! But he was rather disappointed that Grampy wouldn't show him :(
And Sarah learned to put her hands together and catch/throw a ball with Nanny. Although- in the end, I think she was more delighted to just squeal/screech with laughter just for the pure fun of it all.
You'll have to come visit more often Nanny & Grampy- we all had a great time :)
