Fun in the sun

We joined my two sisters' families, and my parents together at the coast for a full day of family fun. Apart from the mothers keeping an eye out for the kids, here's what else went on;
some swimming in the nippy water, Uncle Ken got down and dirty digging a large hole in the sand with the kiddos,

My sneaky sister managed to make and bring an early birthday cake for their Joshua- much to his surprise!

Photo session- wow, all the 8 (mostly) happy cousins/grandkids at once! On the other side of the camera were the rest of the adults (minus Steve having a siesta under the trees) all doing their best to get all the kids looking and happy.
