Holiday shots

Here's what I found the boys busily and quietly up to in their room the other day- playing "Go Fish", which Steve recently taught them. It seemed to quite take their fancy and so they've been good buddies playing that a bit lately. Lovely to see.
We spent the morning at the beach another day, and I think the poor seagulls were glad to see us go. The boys gave them chase anytime they spied one within speeding distance. The pigeons weren't so quick to get away as Caleb discovered. You can just see a seagull in the distance here with good eyes!
Tim was given one of those cute fluffy little chicks, and asked if they could be made. I said you probably could by making a pom pom first. Then of course, he asked if I could show him how to make one. Actually- all 3 kids had turns at winding the wool around the cardboard circle, and here is the end result! Tim also asked me to show him how to knit, and he ambitiously said he'd like to knit himself pants and top!! Boy of all trades that one, hmm, reminds me of someone else :) Can you guess?Just for special, we all got to go and see the circus in town. It was a great 2 hrs of lions, monkeys, horses, trapeze artists, clowns and even a little 6 year old kid on the trampoline. (Not our 6 year old, but we will keep an eye on whether he might try to duplicate any similar tricks on our trampoline)!!
