Well, haven't been here for a while..... But here's some pics of our recent trips. First- up to Mum and Dad's. Just myself and the kids this time. It was a short notice trip to make up the kilometers on the car in time to avoid extra taxes, and it didn't suit Steve for getting work off. I wasn't too sure how the long drive might go alone, but it turned out better than expected. Largely due to a set of 12 audio CDs from Adventures in Odyssey!!! Bethany's patience was tested but the others happily listened to the stories. The boys even managed to get some school work done on the way to help pass time! Unfortunately it was a rather wet time up there, though we did get a visit to the beach one dry afternoon. Our big adventure was a rainy day excursion to check out the massive pet shop, Toyworld and Bunning's playground in town, followed by a picnic lunch at a covered table by the harbour. Tim quite enjoyed asking Nanny to tell him various stories from when she was younger, and both boys made the most of my lil brother's Lego collection from days gone by. Sarah helped Nanny with cooking biscuits and having them with a cup of tea with the little girl of a friend of mine. Bethany finally felt so comfortable there that she got a snooze on Nanny's lap.
