On the move!

Our house is now officially for sale! We have a contract on another one, and it now feels very busy/mayhem with all the related work ahead...

Tim wants to plant a lychee tree in the new yard- he even tried saving some seeds when we last ate lychees. Caleb announced that he would like to plant a tree of "that yellow thing that you cut in squares to eat"! He was referring to mango, but we will actually have our own mango tree (and custard apple x2) there already! Yum. The kids are all keen - they have only seen photos so far. Tim was a bit teary as he thought the new yard was going to be bigger. That was, until Steve showed him how the new 3000 sq m. compares to our current 600 sq m!! After the big event of getting ready for the photo shoot for online, Sarah exclaimed- "now can we buy our new house?" Like- let's go now and just buy it, we're ready :)

As for now, it's a matter of de-cluttering and packing into boxes. It's amazing how, when you empty your cupboards into boxes how large of a box mountain of stuff you own! Hmm- must do some serious de-cluttering and saying goodbye to sentimental treasures.

I came across this photo - which is how the place looked when we first moved in, almost 6 years ago. The "before" look
and... "after"
No- the kids are not for sale, despite having occasions where they frustrate you :)
Here's the professional photographer's shots as seen on realestate.com

Wow Ang, the place looks great in the pics--it almost seems a pity to let it go:) It must have been a big job getting it all ready for the agent. All the best with keeping it nice until some-one falls in love with it. I don't envy you the packing and moving--one of my least favourite jobs.
